Son architecture en \u00e9toile \u00e9tait une premi\u00e8re et a servi de mod\u00e8le \u00e0 plusieurs centaines de prisons dans le monde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La prison a \u00e9t\u00e9 en activit\u00e9 de 1829 \u00e0 1971, son locataire le plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre a \u00e9t\u00e9 Al Capone, qui y a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9tenu pendant une dizaine de mois en 1929.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery
